The Montessori Adolescent Program offers a unique hands-on interdisciplinary approach to the curriculum, enabling students to gain a deep understanding of traditional disciplines in a way that is both relevant and enjoyable. Our students will develop excellent life-skills, and through ongoing community projects will become active and valued members of the community who understand their place in the world, and how they can contribute to its betterment.
Student progress will be monitored using innovative approaches that assess mastery of understanding rather than rote learning and performance in exams.
The curriculum incorporates occupations, student-run businesses, creative and physical expression. Timetabling of the curriculum differs markedly from mainstream schools, and enables students to spend extended periods of time studying in depth.
Students graduating from the Middle School will be well prepared for a variety of future pathways.
